just came across your blog on eidetic memory… and yes had trauma in my background too.. I am 62 yrs old and always considered my photo & video memory a genetic gift (although noone else in my very limited family had it) now I am sure it is related to PTSD…. did go through the alcohol (never an alcoholic) and drug experiences – to block some of the memories maybe? But have come out OK with a beautiful gift of memory… so I think that as a trade off for going through hell we, children of pain and anguish, are given something that noone else has… my best thoughts to you and I hope that all is going well….
